Unfortunately Sabine does not live near a velodrome and catches a ferry to mainland France to compete; her journey time on the ferry is 1 hour 20 minutes and from there she can travel between one to three hours to get to a velodrome!
Sabine finished on the podium in second place the junior ladies event at the Trophée de Brocéliande held in Plélan le Grand in extremely hot conditions - in the track centre it was reading 39Con the Garmin.
This Trophée series consisted of two rounds with the first event back in March. Interestingly, of those on the junior ladies podium on Saturday, only Sabine improved on her times from March.
The hot conditions must have agreed with her!
Her performances at the weekend meant that Sabine finished second overall in the series; the winner was Maryanne Hinault who will represent France at the upcoming Junior European Championships.
Well done Sabine, performance goals achieved!
